Why did you start BJJ?
My dad said to do it.

Summer Miranda is a 4-stripe white belt competitor from Chalan Pago, Guam, who started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after her dad encouraged her to try it. In just over a year on the mats, she has already stepped onto the podium at Patgon Winter 2024 with third-place finishes in both gi and no-gi.
She loves meeting kids from other gyms, cheering on her teammates, and working hard with training partners like Sophie and Ivy. With her parents' support, Summer is focused on improving, competing in 2027, and becoming the best she can be.
My dad said to do it.
Meeting the other kids from other gyms. Seeing my team compete and get medals.
My mom and dad tell me to do my best.
My training partners Sophie and Ivy.
It means I’m doing my best for my team.
It means go out there and do my best and show everyone I work hard.
My mom and dad said I need to do better and work hard. Maybe compete in 2027.
Be the best ever.
